This Site is dedicated to the heroes, and heroines,
villains and saviors who have come
forward in life to banner their name and deeds upon the front pages of
history.
"If men could learn from history,
what lessons it might teach us! But passion and
party blind our eyes, and the light which experience gives is a lantern on
the stern, which shines only on the waves behind us." *Samuel
Taylor Coleridge*
The rifle was
aimed, shots were fired...
Oh My God, the
president has been shot!
November 22, 1963 I purchased, what was
to be, the first of hundreds of newspapers to follow. Over the next thirty
eight years I acquired headline newspapers of significant historical impact
illuminating the people and events which have shaped the history of the
United States of America and the world.
From the War of 1812 to the Nine-
Eleven Terrorist Attack I find truth in the anonymous quote, "Journalists
write the first draft of history."
My interests lie in politics, air and
space travel, and persons of notable stature. On the pages which follow you
will find a chronological listing of the newspapers in my collection and
photographs of many newspapers of historical value.
I hope you enjoy your visit through
time and come back often as this site is updated.
I wish to extend my sincerest ‘Thank
You’ to Betty Ann
whose enthusiasm, encouragement, and technical ability has created this site.

"In essence I have learned that joy and
sorrow walk hand in hand and that which we celebrate today may be the cause
of our tears tomorrow, and yet, while we weep, the future is ready to
bring us further elation"
