USS Constitution vs. Guerriere -The War (Rag) -09/05/1812

At some point in the battle between the USS Constitution and the British War Ship, Guerriere, someone reportedly sees a British shot bounce off the USS Constitution’s side, and shouts, “Huzzah! Her sides are made of iron!” and so is born the nickname “OLD IRONSIDES.”
